Sharing With Sharon December 2017
There’s a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: a time to be born and a time to die, the time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance… Ecclesiastes 3:1-4
This is my last update for 2017 – what a year this has been…
I think you may have heard about my mom passing away on 1 November.
Isn’t she a beauty?!
I’m thankful that Mom, Suzy and I had quality time together… right up until moms last breath.
I’ve also enjoyed amazing and wonderful time with Jennie, Robert, Robbie, Mason and Eddie Jake!! Thanksgiving day I flew back after mom’s’ second memorial service in Colorado, I went to their place for Thanksgiving dinner. It was perfect… much more love than I deserve.
That weekend, we had a wonderful time taking family pictures:
There were some really special reconnections made in Colorado too. I’m so blessed to have grown up on the street I did, with the people I grew up with!!
I’m grateful for this memorable time together!
I booked my flight back to Madang. Before I go, I want to spend my mom’s birthday (the 12th) with Jennie. We plan to honor her by going to Panera and eating potato soup 😊 (update: Panera doesn’t serve potato soup on Tuesdays… our plan was thwarted on every side. But we managed to thoroughly enjoy ourselves honoring grandma while eating soup and salad at Olive Garden).
Jennie’s birthday is the 17th and we will also be celebrating Christmas that day. I fly out the next day.
So in preparing to go back to serve among those considered “the least and the last,” I’ve been looking at my finances. I lost some substantial finances this past year; due to changing of jobs, life situations and death. My budget is short $1,100/month. I would really appreciate and be blessed by your joining my financial team. You can give a one time gift, a monthly gift, or even an annual gift. Anything is MUCH appreciated.
Here are easy ways you can help support me and what the Lord is doing in PNG.
Online giving:pioneerbible.org/give/SharonKozar
Or:
Make checks payable to Pioneer Bible Translators and mail them to my Forwarding Agent:
Alison Hooper
PO Box 281
Dublin, OH 43017
Please make sure that “Pioneer Bible Translators” appears on the check. No other name, corporate or personal, should appear on the payee or memo line. By mailing your check to the above address, you are designating your gift to Pioneer Bible Translators for the ministry of Sharon Kozar.
In order for your gift to be counted in 2017, it will need to arrive my Forwarding Agent before 21 December.
The Baby JJ Ministry… is supported with my personal funds. I ALWAYS NEED help financially with this.
I’m so grateful for those who stand in the gap with and for me. You pray for me, love my family while I am so far away, and you donate your hard-earned money to further the work of Bible Translation in PNG. You are a huge part of my living in Madang Papua New Guinea, I certainly couldn’t be there without your help! You make it possible for me to serve the Lord in this country. I’ve been in PNG for 4 years in January. Thank you for your faithfulness, thank you for your consistent and prayerful support me and the work being done there. I appreciate you!!
Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me. Then the righteous will answer him, saying, Lord when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? When did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you? And the King will answer them, “Truly, I say to you, as you did it the least of these my brothers, you did it to Me.”
Matthew 25:40
Prayer requests:
- For my family as we go through this transition after losing our mom/grandma; especially Suzy still living in the apartment she and mom shared.
- For healing in relationships; people go through various emotions and deal with things differently when a loved one dies.
- For my family that I leave here in America as I go back to Papua New Guinea.
- Please ask God to draw each one of us closer to Him every day.
- For safe travels as I return to Papua New Guinea beginning 18 December and arriving in Madang on 21 December.
- For my health to be fully restored before I get on the first flight.
