I’d like to introduce you to my newly revamped website … browse and see how things have been changing in my life. This is from a lady who thought she was “all used up.” Thank You Lord, for proving me wrong!! As my friend Ali says, “it’s all such Glorious Grace.” I am grateful!
Why did I pick up, pack up and move half around the world, leaving the family I love so much? Well, number one is because God asked it of me. And …
Because of the work that God is doing here – lives are being transformed by the Word of God being translated into heart languages – like this one!
Every tribe and language and people and nation … think about these words for a moment … every tribe, every nation, every people, every nation – it’s pretty incredible, huh?
Then I saw a Lamb, looking as if it had been slain, standing at the center of the throne, encircled by four living creatures and the elders. The Lamb had seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth. He went and took the scroll from the right hand of him who sat on the throne. And when he had taken it, the four living creatures and 24 elders fell down before the Lamb. Each one had a harp and they were holding golden bowls of incense, which are the prayers of God’s people. And they sang a new song, saying: “You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because You were slain, and with Your blood You purchased for God persons from every tribe and language and people and nation. You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God, and they will reign on the earth.”
Revelation 5:6-10
I can only imagine what it’ll be like in heaven. I have met so many people from so many tribes.
What a blessing it is, to be called to serve in Papua New Guinea – what a blessing it is that you’ve supported me so that I can actually live among these precious people.
Thank you!
Our Mborena Kam team has completed the translation of New Testament in their language!!! These pictures are of the first guys to hold and read the written Word in their heart language. Steven (left) is the leader of the translation group and Denny his childhood friend/co-translator, is second in command. Allan is a young guy who did some of the recording, so that they can also have audio of the New Testament available too. This is the next generation taking the Word of God into their villages.
Prayer requests:
Please pray for good health. Several of us have had various sicknesses varying from a cold, an awful flu, and a staph infection in a kidney.
Pray for our national co-workers in our office, our national translators, literacy workers and their families. So many (too many!) sicknesses and deaths have come upon our teams. Malaria was rampant at times.
Pray for our Mborena Kam team and their families as they prepare for the dedication of their printed New Testament July 26. Satan has come against this team in a way I had never experienced before; with illness upon illness and COUNTLESS deaths during the translation and recording of this New Testament.
Pray that God will surround us with His warrior angels, so that the evil that Satan intends will not come to fruition.
Hi, Sharon! I added your prayer requests to our prayer team Sunday morning sheet. We’ll be praying over them! Love you!
