Two Aruamu speaking men went to America for 6 months. They just returned this past week. I was blessed to take them and their wives to the airport to leave and to take their wives back to the airport to pick them up. Here they are happily together again; John and Cathy and Martin and Anna. Aren’t they adorable?
Recently I was included in an email that had something I found very interesting. So I thought I’d share with you. Marsha, one of our expat translators, was talking about making sure that I book enough housing time for Steven Dazim and Francis Dagonov, two of our national translators. She was checking to be sure they had housing to complete their next task. Marsha and her family have served among the Aruamu people since the early 1980’s. They now live back in the states. Tiap is the village where Jim and Joni and I recently visited. It is an amazing place with amazing people. Bobby Joe and Sue Ellen Wrenn are here from America doing the recording part for them.
This is the information that I find fascinating; Marsha states “The recording of Psalms and Proverbs may take at least a month. Psalms has 2461 verses; Proverbs has 915 verses. That is a total of 3376 verses. This is the equivalent of 43% of the number of verses in the whole New Testament. (We know that the Aruamu NT recording took almost 9 months….)”
It has been a lifelong commitment to get the Word of God into the hands of the Aruamu people. Thank you for helping me to be here to support this work to its completion!
I took this from the Pioneer Bible Translators Strategic Prayer list, so you will know the number of current translation projects, and how to pray for us; “Pray that God will help us empower each of our 65 current translation projects to result in churches using Scripture to grow, mature, and multiply within 20 years of starting.”
Revelation 22:19
I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book, and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book. He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus! The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all. Amen.
I want to share something else with you. Pioneer Bible Translators has a set up a new giving website for me. Check it out!! I could really use your help. Will you please consider supporting me on a monthly basis? My monthly funds have been dwindling down, and I need help please.

Several Scriptures have struck me lately and I want to share them with you. Please pray as you are prompted. I’ll put little notes, but we know that God knows what we need better than we do.
Deuteronomy 29:29
The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may follow all the words of this law. I feel so blessed to have a part in children of the future hearing Gods word in their heart language. Will you be one who helps me to stay here and continue the work?
Isaiah 50:4
The sovereign Lord has given me a well instructed tongue, to know the word that sustains the weary. He wakens me morning by morning, wakens my ear to listen like one being instructed. I’ve never claimed to be a teacher, so I ask God that I be an example to follow with how I live my life.
Psalm 27:13-14
I remain confident of this; I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord, be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord. Sometimes I struggle a LOT with waiting. I think I know the answer, so I do “it” only to find out that I should have waited… He definitely knows best. Pray that I am able to wait on Him.
Psalm 29:3-4
The voice of the Lord is over the waters; the God of glory thunders, the Lord thunders over the mighty waters. The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is majestic. We REALLY need rain… He is in control and everything is ok… but we really need rain. Please pray that we get it … like now.
Thank you for your support! I am so grateful for you; grateful for your prayers, your financial partnership, and your encouragements. I couldn’t do this without you!!
